A Florida man has been charged with shooting at his home after he was attacked by a dog.
The Palm Beach Post reported on Thursday that 34-year-old Andrew T. Williams is charged with aggravated battery with a dangerous weapon.
Tyson G. Hines Jr., of the 3200 block of East Green Lane, is accused of breaking into the residence on Tuesday and attacking his wife, who was working in the kitchen.
Police said the dog bit her.
The dogs owner said he was trying to protect his wife from the aggressive dog when she was bitten.
Police found Hines in the house.
Police were called to the home, but Hines ran off, according to police.
Hines is being held in the Palm Beach County Jail on $100,000 bond.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is handling the case.
