If you’ve been living under a rock, it may be a while before you hear the phrase “Huntsville” uttered in the same breath.
A city known for its unique culture, music and architecture, Huntsville has become a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers alike.
The city has an incredible history dating back to the late 1800s and the development of the first ski resort in the area.
In 2017, the City of Huntsville unveiled the first “Huntersville Park” and this year the first Winter Park is expected to open for business.
What to do if you have a cold?
For those of us who don’t live in the city, here are some tips to help protect your skin:Stay warm.
Don’t let a little bit of warmth make you feel too warm.
The colder temperatures make you colder.
The longer you are in the cold, the more chance of frostbite.
If you’re outside, wear long pants and a hat.
Always wear gloves.
Wear gloves if you are outdoors.
This will prevent you from getting frostbite or contact dermatitis.
When you are outside, take a few minutes to drink a little water and eat some snacks.
Take your temperature once a day.
Keep a cold shower ready and in your car.
Check your air quality regularly.
