New York City weather: It is not sunny yet but temperatures are expected to be in the mid-30s.
The high is in the upper 30s and the low is around 18 degrees.
Wind is expected to gust to 40 mph with gusts of 50 mph expected.
Forecasters say the storm is expected at 11am EST (1900 GMT) on Monday.
The National Weather Service says that, based on current forecasts, the storm will pass over the eastern seaboard and head into the Atlantic on Tuesday.
Weather.com says that a wind chill warning will remain in effect until Wednesday morning, but that the temperature is expected in the high 40s.
It is expected that wind gusts will be higher than 30 mph over parts of the eastern half of the state and the New York area by Tuesday evening.
